Snack Like a Southerner: Ribs


4lbs baby back pork ribs
2/3cup water
1/3cup red wine vinegar

1cup ketchup
1cup water
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/3cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4cup mustard
1/2cup packed brown sugar
4tbsp butter
1tsp hot pepper sauce
1/8tsp salt

Step One:
Preheat oven to 350°. Place ribs into roasting pans. Mix water and vinegar in a bowl and pour mixture over ribs. Bake for 45 minutes.

Step Two:
While ribs cook, combine ketchup, water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, butter, brown sugar, pepper sauce and salt into a medium saucepan. Mix together and bring to a boil. Once at a boil, reduce heat to low. Cover it up and allow it to simmer over the lowest temp for about an hour.

Step Three:
Prep grill at medium heat and oil it.

Step Four:
Grill ribs for 15 minutes, turning ribs once about 7 minutes in.

Step Five:
Baste ribs with sauce. Grill for another 8 minutes. Turn them and baste again, grill for 8 more minutes.
